the whole family: Two restaurants, driving range, batting cages,
miniature golf, picnic area, gift shop, wagon rides, seasonal specialty

Blue Jacket
Outdoor Theatre
Xenia, Ohio
http://www.bluejacketdrama.com
A summertime live outdoor theater drama. It's an interesting
story of Marmaduke van Swearingen, a teenaged white boy supposedly
captured by local Shawnee Indian tribesmen. He became a war leader
for the Indian nation. Blue Jacket, as he was named became a savvy
strategist who beat many a white army.
Cedar Bog
Nature Preserve
Champaign county (Urbana)
http://www.ohiohistory.org/places/cedarbog/
An ecological freak of nature left behind by Ice Age
glaciers. About 100 acres with a cool, damp micro-climate. A cold,
alkaline spring keeps the bog unusually cool and damp, while its
cool air is held still and steady by warm air currents above. The
highly unusual environment hosts over 100 rare and endangered species
of creatures and plants which couldn't survive outside the bog.
A 1-mile boardwalk through the bog takes visitors across the thick
muck to otherwise inaccessible habitats. Very interesting outdoor
excursion.
